As You Are, a US-based telehealth provider of paediatric autism evaluations, has partnered with Included Health, a healthcare company offering virtual care, to increase access and accelerate care for paediatric patients suspected to have autism.  

This partnership responds to the critical demand for timely autism diagnoses, which the Center for Disease Control highlights as a growing need, with around one in five children estimated to be diagnosed with mental, behavioural or emotional disorders. 

As part of the latest collaboration, Included Health's employer clients and their members will gain access to faster paediatric autism evaluations to further reduce the overall wait times. 

The virtual platform provided by As You Are will facilitate faster access to enhanced diagnostic services and treatment recommendations.  

This initiative is expected to streamline the diagnostic journey for families, providing support and resources in a virtual setting. 

As You Are noted that the national crisis of limited healthcare services for paediatric autism evaluations has led to an average wait of 27 months for a diagnosis, delaying essential interventions.  

The collaboration between As You Are and Included Health aims to address this gap by offering virtual appointments across all 50 US states, significantly reducing the wait time to just weeks.

As You Are’s specially trained paediatricians are equipped to evaluate children suspected of having autism, enhancing access to care and offering a vital solution for self-insured employers.  

These employers are responsible for the healthcare costs of their employees and dependents, and nearly 160 million Americans depend on such employer-sponsored health plans. 

Included Health's clients and members will now have direct access to referrals for all services provided by As You Are.  

The partnership is now set to connect more families to timely paediatric autism evaluations, alleviating the stress and delays that can adversely affect children's outcomes.  

As You Are, which caters to children from 16 months to ten years old, has already served over 15,000 families.
