Australian mental health services company Avive Health has opened a private mental health hospital in Brisbane, Australia, with an investment of A$70m ($47.1m).
The Avive Clinic Brisbane is a 63-bed facility designed to offer specialised care for a spectrum of mental health conditions, including substance use disorders and trauma.
It is located next to one of Brisbane’s major health hubs, which is home to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Herston Quarter health precinct.
The hospital has seven group therapy rooms, ten doctors' consulting rooms in onsite specialist suites, and a fitness studio.
It is also equipped with advanced technologies to enhance patient care, including circadian rhythm lighting and electronic patient tablets.
Services provided at the hospital include specialised care for people with depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and substance use disorders.
The facility's other services include emergency and first responders, tailored treatment in the inpatient setting, day patient programmes and outpatient treatment plans.
It also delivers trauma-informed care to address the needs of emergency staff, defence personnel and first responders.
Avive Health said the hospital's interior was designed to support patients’ emotional and spiritual wellbeing by incorporating natural light, landscaping and nature.
Its expert team will offer evidence-based treatment and support patients in overcoming addiction and building a healthier future.
Avive Health's clinical model guides the hospital's operations, with each treatment journey aspect being led by clinicians.
The hospital also provides inpatient treatment and therapy, intensive and transitional day programmes, and outpatient specialist suites.
In addition, patients will have access to individual exercise physiology programmes in the hospital's gym areas.
Avive Health is receiving fast-track enquiries from healthcare professionals considering its services for their patients, as well as people seeking help for themselves or loved ones.
The company said the hospital would ensure 'fast and immediate' access to clinical teams and psychiatrists through its referral pathway.
