Canadian software company BoomerangFX has partnered with health technology firm DrFirst to introduce e-prescribing for aesthetic medicine practices across North America.

The partnership aims to offer physicians a fully integrated solution for prescribing and medication management with various practice management functionalities.

These will include charting, EMR, scheduling, lead management, point-of-sale payments, CRM, accounting reports and inventory management.

By integrating DrFirst's Rcopia into BoomerangFX's practice management workflows, physicians gain access to medication history and drug interaction warnings to prevent errors and streamline the prescribing process.

In addition, BoomerangFX's platform will incorporate DrFirst's RxInform to help increase patient adherence to prescribed medications.

After physicians send electronic prescriptions to pharmacies, a secure message will automatically be triggered to patients through RxInform.

This message allows patients to view their prescriptions, pharmacy details, educational materials and potential savings options.

Studies show that this approach can reduce prescription abandonment rates by 15%-25% on average.

The partnership with DrFirst comes after BoomerangFX recently partnered with Stripe to launch integrated point-of-sale payments worldwide.
