Massachusetts-based eClinicalWorks’ electronic health record (EHR) solution has been deployed by Brandon Area Primary Care, a primary care group with practices in Brandon and Apollo Beach of Florida, to streamline administrative tasks.

Brandon Area Primary Care can effectively manage administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and accessing patient data, thereby enhancing patient care, and reducing administrative burdens.

Since implementing the new system in July 2023, the practice has reported increased staff productivity and positive feedback from patients, stated eClinicalWorks.

The eClinicalWorks platform provides several features including Messenger for improved communication; PRISMA, a health information search engine that consolidates data from various sources into a searchable format; and Scribe, an AI-driven speech-to-text voice dictation software that facilitates real-time notetaking, thereby allowing physicians to focus more on patients.

Brandon Area Primary Care medical director Dr. Jason Stibich said: “We needed support on our internal processes and a partner that provided tailored solutions to match the needs of our patients.

“We selected eClinicalWorks because we were impressed with the ease of use, flexibility, and advanced technology. We believe this partnership will enable us to provide even better health care while streamlining our operations.

“We look forward to working closely with eClinicalWorks, helping us seamlessly integrate and optimise our new system, with minimal disruption to patient care.”

Recently, addiction treatment services provider Southland Recovery deployed eClinicalWorks’ Cloud EHR to streamline operations.

This facility chose eClinicalWorks to get a unified EHR solution.

eClinicalWorks is a cloud based EHR and practice management solutions provider.

Serving ambulatory practices, specialists, health centres, urgent care facilities, and hospital systems, eClinicalWorks aids in managing revenue cycles, patient relationships, and Population Health initiatives.

More than 180,000 healthcare providers and almost one million medical professionals depend on the company’s eCW Cloud, a platform that is claimed to offer flexible clinical documentation, enhanced front-office workflows, and an efficient billing service via robotic process automation.

The aging population is a captive market for medical devices

The rising number of older individuals globally is accompanied by increasing health concerns, presenting unique demand for the medical device industry. With rising pressure on governments, payers, and manufacturers to reduce healthcare costs, innovative medical technologies have tremendous potential to improve elder care. Advancements in medical device technology have resulted in a significant increase in the number of conditions that can be managed in a home care setting. To capitalize on this strong demand and growth, manufacturers are increasingly producing consumer-targeted equipment.
