US-based virtual care solutions provider CareView Communications has partnered with paediatric healthcare institution Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

This collaboration introduces virtual care solutions to the hospital, making it the first standalone paediatric facility to implement a comprehensive Virtual Nursing system as well as Virtual Sitting deployment.

The agreement involves installing 103 CareView cameras, including 92 portable cameras, six fixed cameras, and five mobile carts.

CareView Communications chief clinical officer Cathy Story said: “Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s decision to embrace our Virtual Nursing and Virtual Sitting solutions is a testament to their commitment to leveraging advanced technology to deliver the highest standard of care to their young patients.

“We are excited to partner with such a prestigious institution to further enhance patient safety and clinical workflows.”

The paediatric Behavioral Health unit will also benefit from this technology, ensuring a safer environment.

CareView claims to have supported more than 200 hospitals across the nation in deploying virtual care strategies.

Recently, it partnered with Pexip, a secure video technology platform, to enhance its virtual nursing capabilities.

This collaboration aims to provide secure and efficient communication among patients, medical professionals, and support networks, advancing virtual healthcare.

The integration enables two-way video calls, improving patient care coordination and outcomes.

Most recently, CareView showcased its inpatient virtual care platform at the opening of Baptist Health Care's Behavioral Health Unit in Pensacola, Florida.

CareView's technology employs AI and machine learning to predict inpatient falls, providing real-time insights for healthcare providers, and reducing injury-related costs.
