The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in the US has joined KidsX, an ecosystem of paediatric digital health innovators.

KidsX address paediatric care delivery’s critical issues by enabling partnership between children's hospitals, providers, payors, investors, corporate partners and entrepreneurs.

CHOP sees this alliance as an opportunity to engage with a larger community focused on paediatric care innovation, allowing them to share best practices and co-create digital solutions for patients worldwide.

KidsX brings together leading children's hospitals and digital health companies to develop and deploy impactful and safe paediatric care solutions.

CHOP's digital transformation efforts aim to support research and clinical breakthroughs, automate operations, and enhance patient care.

By joining KidsX, CHOP looks to expedite innovation in paediatrics and contribute to the advancement of paediatric healthcare.

CHOP senior vice-president and chief digital and information officer Shakeeb Akhter said: “Being a part of KidsX means we can engage with an even larger community invested in innovation or paediatric care.

“The accelerator programmes and community initiatives allow us to share best practices, network and co-create digital solutions even faster for our patients across the country and around the world.”

“Each year, KidsX hospitals come together to prioritise a select set of focus areas that are most prevalent to children and can be best addressed by technology.

“At CHOP, our digital transformation efforts aim to deliver even more comprehensive care, an enhanced patient experience, and the tools our staff needs to fuel research and clinical breakthroughs.”
