The US-based Christ Hospital Health Network is set to open its newly expanded medical centre in Liberty Township, Ohio.
The 17,800ft² expansion will be opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 13 September at 6939 Cox Road, with patient care services to begin on 16 September.
The expansion at the Christ Hospital Medical Center – Liberty Township includes a new MRI Scanner for cardiac imaging, as well as a 1.5 Siemens Sola Superconducting Magnet to support tests and screenings for various specialities such as neurology, orthopaedics, urology, oncology and women’s health.
A Philips iCT computerised tomography (CT) scanner has also been installed to enable low-dose radiation and precise accuracy for providing high-quality oncology and cardiac images.
The nearly $20m project began in October last year and was carried out in partnership with Champlin Architecture and CMTA Engineering, who oversaw the design and technical aspects respectively.
The Christ Hospital Health Network president and CEO Debbie Hayes said: “As the greater Cincinnati region continues to grow, so does the demand from our patients to receive exceptional healthcare closer to where they live and work.
“Our talented team of healthcare providers in Liberty Township already offer access to award-winning care through innovative diagnostic technologies, maternity, perioperative, rehabilitation and emergency services.
“This growth demonstrates our commitment to doing everything it takes to make healthcare more accessible and affordable while being conveniently located.”
Opened in 2018, the Christ Hospital Medical Center – Liberty Township provides a broad range of healthcare services, including emergency medicine, inpatient care, a family birthing centre, cardiac rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapy, and outpatient surgeries.
The Christ Hospital Health Network includes an acute care hospital in Mt Auburn, five ambulatory outpatient centres, a remote hospital location in Liberty Township, and numerous medical offices across the region.
It employs more than 1,300 physicians and more than 6,500 team members.
