New York, US-based provider of technology-enabled mobile health services DocGo’s UK-based subsidiary Ambulnz Community Partners has secured a contract to offer emergency and urgent ambulance services for South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
Under the five-year contract, the services will cover 16 ambulances each day delivering paramedic-led frontline urgent and emergency response.
Mobilisation is scheduled to commence this month.
This contract forms part of the UK subsidiary’s expansion into delivering services for higher acuity care.
Ambulnz Community Partners managing director Natalie Lamb said: “This is a very proud moment for our group as we continue to expand our portfolio and footprint of higher acuity services in line with our organisational strategy across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.”
Lamb added: “This is the first time SCAS has awarded a five-year contract to a private provider, and we are thrilled to have been selected as one of their three regional providers.
“We are immensely grateful to all our staff and leadership for their unwavering commitment over the past five years; without them, this would not have been possible.”
Currently, Ambulnz Community Partners offers medical transport services for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust; East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust; North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust; and Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust as well as other organisations in the region.
Employing about 700 staff members, Ambulnz Community Partners’ operations feature 15 locations and 350 ambulances.
