Florida Digestive Health Specialists (FDHS), a network of gastrointestinal practices, has chosen eClinicalWorks and Sunoh.ai to help its providers improve workflows and chart patient data.

eClinicalWorks specialises in providing cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) solutions to digitise paper charts for ambulatory practices.

As part of the latest collaboration, more than 75 providers within FDHS will have access to Sunoh.ai, which is an AI medical scribe that converts natural language conversations into clinical records, integrated with eClinicalWorks AI solutions.

Sunoh.ai’s integration will assist providers in charting patient information, potentially improving provider satisfaction as well as reducing administrative burdens and costs.

Adoption of AI in its healthcare system will further allow the gastroenterology-focused organisation to save time spend on administrative tasks, while also mitigating physician burnout.

This move is also anticipated to boost productivity and patient outcomes.

FDHS currently has 26 care centres across Florida and its staff includes nationally acclaimed gastroenterologists, who use various technologies and methods to treat patients.

Florida Digestive Health Specialists PM/EMR implementation specialist Prithvish Mallikarjun said: “Many of our dedicated professionals are transitioning into their well-deserved retirement phase and prefer to limit the amount of time spent behind a computer charting.

“Navigating comprehensive EHR system to record patient details presents a significant burden for our providers.

“We are interested in leveraging eClinicalWorks AI-enabled features that aim to provide relief to our physicians and cut down on workload. By integrating the AI functionalities into the EHR system along with Sunoh.ai, we intend to foster uniformity in clinical workflows and improve productivity.”

eClinicalWorks said that it has recently upgraded its EHR to V12, which is the first AI-driven version to offer transformative AI functionalities to practices.

These tools mainly include generative AI models for a conversational EHR, image AI assistants for document recognition.

Integration of Sunoh.ai into eClinicalWorks' suite of AI healthcare solutions will also accelerate the process of clinical documentation.

More than 75 providers within FDHS will have access to Sunoh.ai integrated with eClinicalWorks AI solutions.
