Fullscript, a healthcare platform based in Canada, has announced its acquisition of Rupa Health, a laboratory test management streamlining service for practitioners.

This strategic move aims to scale Fullscript's comprehensive care platform by integrating Rupa Health's lab ordering, tracking, and educational services.

Rupa Health, launched in 2020, aims to modernise the logistics of laboratory work in the US by providing a single interface for test ordering, results management, and patient communication.

The platform claims to serve a significant number of clinics and educates practitioners on personalised care, with courses led by industry experts through its educational wing, Rupa University.

Fullscript co-founder and CEO Kyle Braatz said: “Together, we will offer the most comprehensive clinical platform where all practitioner, from integrative medicine specialists to traditional physicians, have the infrastructure, information, and decision-support tools needed to practice whole person medicine.”

The platform introduced Fullscript Labs in beta earlier this year, offering an efficient lab workflow and patient experience.

It also provides automated tools, such as dose reminders and refill alerts, to support patient adherence to treatment plans.

The acquisition will further enhance Fullscript's existing treatment planning tools, enabling practitioners to collect and analyse data easily to improve health outcomes.

The companies have not disclosed the financial details of the deal.
