Healthtech company specialising in anaesthesia solutions Graphium Health has announced the acquisition of The ABG Anesthesia Data Group (ABG) for an undisclosed amount.
ABG helps anaesthesia professionals in leveraging healthcare information to improve patient outcomes and achieve operational improvements.
It specialises in Quality Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) management and has launched various quality and safety programmes within anaesthesia practices.
The company also aims to advance Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting for anaesthesia, creating practical clinical measures for daily implementation.
ABG’s acquisition will allow Graphium Health to strengthen its efforts to improve healthcare delivery through a user-friendly mobile software platform that streamlines quality data management.
It will further accelerate the shared goal of Graphium Health and ABG to alleviate the burden of clinical documentation and reporting, enhancing the quality of care and patient safety.
Following this acquisition, ABG's current clients will continue to submit their 2023 performance year data without any changes while Graphium Health will extend additional support to the ABG team.
Later this year, Graphium Health plans to integrate the ABG QCDR into its comprehensive solutions, offering users enhanced capabilities, such as Quality Improvement (QI) and OPPE reports that align with Joint Commission requirements.
According to Graphium, the integration will also include tools for custom QI-based bonus plans, an MIPS compliant patient experience survey, and analytics capabilities that provide operational insights into surgical services.
Hospitals, anaesthesiologists, CRNAs, and CAAs will have access to a suite of analytics, data management, and real-time insights to track and measure quality and operational metrics more effectively.
Graphium Health CEO Daniel Dura said: “We are committed to ensuring that adding the ABG QCDR to client offerings will only enhance the already robust support to our clients as they continue to navigate the ever-changing complex needs of hospital ORs, surgery centres, and provider practices.”
“While the landscape of CMS programmes continues to evolve, we believe that these programmes will continue to be a part of every practice and want to ensure they have tools that minimise effort it takes to participate while ensuring they have real insight into surgical patient safety and satisfaction.”
