Hamilton Orthopaedics Spine and Sports Medicine has partnered with Oneida Health to provide centralised surgical care.
Hamilton Orthopaedics surgeons Dr Rudolph Buckley and Dr Russell LaFrance will perform most of the practice's hospital-based surgical procedures at Oneida Health Hospital's operating room (OR) in Oneida, New York.
Dr Buckley and Dr LaFrance previously conducted surgeries across various healthcare facilities in New York's Madison, Chenango and Oneida counties.
Dr Buckley said: “Hamilton Orthopaedics and Oneida Health have had a collaborative relationship for years focused on providing high-quality orthopaedic services to patients in Central New York.
“Our new partnership will provide a centralised location for Hamilton Orthopaedics patients to receive the high level of quality hospital-based surgical care they are accustomed to in a state-of-the-art OR at Oneida Health.”
Dr LaFrance said: “There are many patient care and logistical advantages to providing hospital-based surgical care in a centralised location.
“Together, we can create an efficient, cohesive team focused on the continuous growth of surgical outcomes and recovery for patients of Hamilton Orthopaedics through enhanced continuity of care.”
Hamilton Orthopaedics will continue to maintain its outpatient offices, while Oneida Health will also continue to operate its orthopaedic office, Oneida Health Orthopedics.
Oneida Health Orthopedic Surgery chief of surgery and director Dr M Asad Khalid said: “We welcome Dr Buckley and Dr LaFrance to our Orthopedic Surgical team.
“Their addition to our orthopaedic surgical team will increase access to more orthopaedic services previously unavailable in Oneida for the communities we serve throughout Madison and Oneida counties.”
