Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), a medical centre specialising in musculoskeletal health, has launched a new location in Southampton, Suffolk County, New York, US.

This marks HSS's first presence in Suffolk County, complementing its existing facilities on Long Island.

HSS Southampton offers a range of medical services, including sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, pain management, physiatry, spinal care, and orthopaedic trauma.

According to a statement from HSS, the physicians at this new location are the same professionals who provide care at HSS's main hospital in New York City.

HSS regional markets senior vice-president John Finger said: “Our team strives to ensure every patient’s experience across all HSS facilities is consistent and exceptional.

“We look forward to continuing to serve active communities on Long Island by expanding our physical and digital reach to advance their musculoskeletal health and overall quality of life.”

This expansion comes after the expansion and renovation of its Uniondale offices in Nassau County in 2022.

In addition to the New York City campus, HSS has facilities in New Jersey, Connecticut, and the Long Island and Westchester County regions of New York, as well as in Florida.

HSS serves as the healthcare provider for various professional sports teams, including the New York Giants, New York Knicks, Long Island Nets, New York Liberty, as well as New York Mets.
