Innovaccer launches AI health platform for data and analytics

GHAAP will improve unification of clinical/non-clinical data, incorporating AI to foster IT transformation and improve outcomes.

Innovaccer has announced the launch of the Government Health AI Data and Analytics Platform (GHAAP), a new solution aimed at enhancing public sector healthcare through AI and data analytics.

The platform is specifically designed to meet the needs of Medicaid and public health modernisation, marking a significant stride in healthcare IT.

According to Innovaccer, GHAAP has already secured NCQA Measure Certification for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS).

Built upon the successful Innovaccer data and analytics platform, GHAAP is already in use by healthcare providers such as Banner Health and Kaiser Permanente, managing population health programmes effectively.

The new platform addresses the challenges posed by data fragmentation and silos within government health organisations, which can hinder critical initiatives and limit data-driven decision-making, Innovaccer stated.

This fragmentation also affects the quality of healthcare services provided to communities.

GHAAP has been designed to enhance the unification of clinical and non-clinical data, incorporating AI to foster health IT transformation and improve outcomes.

Clinical data comprises electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy, labs, and claims while non-clinical includes social determinants of health (SDoH).

GHAAP is poised to deliver substantial improvements in operational efficiency, IT cost management, and the accessibility, quality, and equity of care.

The platform also facilitates the smooth exchange of data and analytics.

In addition, GHAAP's open, API-forward ecosystem helps in facilitating cross-agency partnerships, bolsters public/private health initiatives, and supports third-party developers in creating apps that enhance provider quality, epidemiological analysis, and beneficiary care.

Key features include streamlined data exchange, a specialised data model, advanced AI capabilities, a unified data view, and robust analytics and applications, all tailored to advance public health initiatives.

Texas and Arizona former Medicaid director Jami Snyder said: “With the launch of GHAAP, Innovaccer is addressing the long-standing challenges of data fragmentation in the public healthcare sector. Our platform’s ability to unify diverse data sources and support AI-driven insights marks a significant step forward.

“This integration facilitates a more cohesive approach to healthcare, allowing for better management of Medicaid operations and public health initiatives. The future of public sector healthcare lies in the ability to harness and operationalize data effectively, and GHAAP is designed to do just that.”
