Interim HealthCare agencies in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Pueblo, and Tucson are set to implement Netsmart’s integrated electronic health record (EHR) system, myUnity, designed for post-acute care settings.
The platform is set to streamline documentation processes, including OASIS and routine visit records, by leveraging features such as usability, interoperability, mobility, and augmented intelligence.
The four agencies will benefit from clinical decision support, improved referral management, and access to the Netsmart network, which incorporates the Carequality interoperability framework.
This move will enable the sharing and exchange of data with other providers, and health information exchanges within the broader healthcare ecosystem.
The four Interim HealthCare agencies CEO and owner Devin Ringling said: "The collaboration and transparency we experienced throughout the evaluation process with the Netsmart team gave us confidence in our choice.
"We are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and delivering high-quality care, which requires advanced technology and a long-term technology partner, like Netsmart. We are excited to implement a comprehensive platform that helps enhance data visibility, reduce duplication of efforts, and ultimately allow our clinicians to devote more time to patient care."
Interim HealthCare of Colorado Springs, which offers a range of services, including home healthcare and medical staffing, selected Netsmart after determining that it provides physician order tracking and enhanced reporting capabilities, as well as better integration with hospital portals.
The implementation of myUnity will soon empower nearly 700 clinicians and staff, allowing the agencies to manage various business lines and care settings within a unified patient record system.
This integrated approach ensures that a patient’s health information is consistently available, providing healthcare providers with health histories as individuals transition between care settings.
In addition, the agencies are set to incorporate an integrated electronic visit verification (EVV) solution, which will optimise mobile care delivery and authenticate provider visits for home-based services.
Netsmart Provider Solutions senior vice-president and managing director David Strocchia said: “Interim HealthCare of Colorado Springs has established itself as an industry leader by addressing community needs and implementing innovative technology.”
