The Kauvery Group of Hospitals has expanded its healthcare services with the launch of Maa Kauvery, a new 200-bed hospital at Tiruchi in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Dedicated to women and children's health, this facility is designed to provide specialised care with advanced technology and a team of experts available around the clock, according to a press release posted by ANI on The Print.

The paediatric wing of Maa Kauvery is comprehensive, offering a range of services including a paediatric intensive care unit (PICU), paediatric oncology, paediatric gastroenterology, paediatric nephrology, and neonatology.

For urgent medical situations, the hospital is equipped with an 11-bed emergency department for paediatric emergencies, a 16-bed PICU, a ten-bed high dependency unit, a 50-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and a specialised five-bed unit for bone marrow, liver, and renal transplantation procedures.

Emphasising the hospital's mission, Kauvery Group of Hospitals founder and managing director S. Manivannan said, “With Maa Kauvery, we aim to create a haven where women can receive comprehensive care throughout their life stages. From high-risk pregnancies to advanced gynaecological surgeries, our goal is to support women with the highest standard of medical care.”

The hospital's women's health services are extensive, offering round-the-clock maternity and high-risk pregnancy care, advanced laparoscopy, and fetal medicine.

Additionally, Maa Kauvery houses a woman counselling clinic for personalised health advice and preventive care, along with specialised care for gynaecologic oncology and mammogram services.

Kauvery Hospital, which began as a 30-bed facility in Trichy in 1999, has grown significantly. It currently operates twelve hospitals and employs over 8,000 individuals, providing secondary and tertiary care in Trichy, Chennai, Salem, Hosur, Tirunelveli, and Bengaluru.

In March, the group launched a quaternary facility at Arcot Road, Vadapalani in Chennai.

This 250-bedded hospital includes a 75-bedded Critical Care Unit, a 30-bedded Transplant ICU, and six modular Operation Theatres with laminar flow.
