US-based healthcare communication company Kno2 has partnered with DocuSign to help enhance provider-to-provider signature workflows in the healthcare sector.

The partners aim to address the inefficiencies of fax-dependent signature capture processes between healthcare providers.

Kno2 will integrate its patented communications application programming interface (API) with Docusign's intelligent agreement management platform.

This will create an end-to-end solution designed to streamline care plans, order signatures and improve the overall signature workflows.

Kno2 said the joint solution would help optimise operational efficiencies in healthcare, a sector where timely patient care and strict compliance standards are critical.

Integrating Kno2's network and Docusign's platform, the solution will aim to offer flexibility and reduce the time and effort required for necessary signatures on various documents.

This is intended to expedite the decision-making process related to patient care, increasing the speed and quality of healthcare delivery.

Kno2 CEO Jon Elwell said: “Our mission at Kno2 is to drive innovation in healthcare communication to improve provider experience and patient care.

“By embedding Docusign into our patented communication API with Docusign’s comprehensive agreement capabilities, we are setting a new standard for how healthcare providers and their respective EHRs manage and execute critical workflows.”

The integrated solution aims to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations through the use of secure, verifiable signature processes.

It is also designed to improve overall efficiency by reducing errors, eliminating paper-based processes and decreasing administrative overhead by providing connectivity with most brands of electronic health record.

Docusign Group Partner Development & Alliances vice-president Janine Grasso said: “Docusign is committed to transforming the way business is done.

“Our collaboration with Kno2 is a perfect example of how our intelligent agreement management solutions can address specific industry challenges—in this case, improving the healthcare signature workflows to ensure that patient care is timely, secure and compliant.”
