Mission-critical Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services provider KORE has entered a collaboration with Social Mobile, a purpose-built hardware provider, to enhance connected health and remote patient monitoring (RPM).

This partnership aims to address the stringent demands of healthcare applications by combining Social Mobile's tailored devices with KORE's IoT connectivity.

According to KORE, Social Mobile's devices, unlike consumer-grade alternatives, are certified for global use and come with a three-year availability guarantee, allowing healthcare providers to standardise on a single product.

This is particularly beneficial for organisations such as Biofourmis, an RPM solutions provider, which has successfully integrated various peripherals into a unified platform for patient monitoring through the collaboration of KORE and Social Mobile.

KORE president and CEO Ronald Totton said: “People have always been at the heart of what we do at KORE, and the company is proud to blaze the trail when it comes to improving patient outcomes.

“KORE’s connectivity, combined with healthcare-specific solutions made by Social Mobile, helps patients get better, more accessible care. We’re excited to continue enabling innovative Connected Health solutions for our customers.”

KORE stated that the partnership has already shown its potential by providing a turnkey solution that supports remote patient care, potentially reducing the need for prolonged hospital stays.

Moreover, the collaboration is set to make significant contributions to the clinical research sector, where accurate, real-time data is crucial.

By combining KORE's IoT connectivity with Social Mobile's custom devices, clinical researchers can collect essential data with high precision, thus improving the quality of clinical trials.

Social Mobile founder and CEO Robert Morcos said: “Together, we are addressing the critical needs of the healthcare industry with purpose-built mobile devices and seamless connectivity, enabling advancements in remote patient monitoring and clinical trials.

“Our collaboration underscores a shared commitment to innovation and improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge technology.”

The innovations resulting from the KORE and Social Mobile partnership will be showcased at HLTH 2024 from 20 to 23 October in Las Vegas.

Attendees will have the chance to see how these advanced solutions are revolutionising healthcare and clinical research.

Visitors are encouraged to explore their shared suite to discover more about the future of Connected Health as shaped by KORE and Social Mobile.
