Macquarie Asset Management has offered around £30m to help build a new multi-purpose healthcare facility in Southampton, UK, on behalf of Just Group.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust will operate the new facility at the Adanac Health and Innovation Campus near Southampton General Hospital.

The facility will include a sterile services facility, an aseptic pharmacy, office space, and parking.

It will incorporate green features such as rooftop solar panels and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Macquarie Asset Management managing director Hugo James noted: “We are proud to partner with Just Group once again and provide a bespoke funding model to help meet the needs of the NHS Trust, as they continue to expand and provide critical services to the local Southampton community and beyond.”

This project will offer hospital support services, research and non-residential care facilities as well as expand clinical services at the General Hospital site. Work is expected to be over by 2025.

UK-based financial services company Just Group has collaborated with Macquarie Asset Management to develop various real estate assets across sectors such as hospitality, education, local authorities, and healthcare.
