Medical Solutions brand Matchwell and the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) in the US have partnered to launch the nation's first state resource pool for flexible healthcare staffing.
Dubbed Indiana Resource Pool, the offering aims to address workforce supply challenges by providing members of IHA with access to a regional and flexible workforce.
The initiative is created to support healthcare systems in Indiana to meet their staffing requirements.
It features a technology platform that aids IHA members to access pre-vetted clinicians residing in Indiana who are planning shift or contract work.
Matchwell founder Robert Crowe said: “I couldn’t be happier that our technology can help support this initiative.
“Since our inception in 2019, Matchwell has been dedicated to helping organisations across the US access and engage their own flexible workforce. This initiative is an extension of that mission.”
This platform is also equipped with tools to help healthcare facilities efficiently manage this workforce.
The Matchwell and IHA alliance is intended at tackling healthcare staffing challenges to support healthcare providers and ensure the delivery of patient care.
Indiana Hospital Association interim president Blake Dye said: “We are excited to partner with Matchwell on this innovative solution.
“This gives our members unparalleled access to healthcare professionals, ensuring we maintain high-quality care in our communities.”
Using Matchwell, healthcare systems can attract and retain new clinicians who are looking for work on their terms.
In July 2022, Matchwell was acquired by US-based Medical Solutions, which offers total workforce solutions for the healthcare industry, for an undisclosed sum.
