McLaren Health Care has expanded its network with the acquisition of Park Medical Centers, a collection of primary care practices.
The acquisition, effective from 15 November, brings ten Park Medical Centers clinics with 21 providers serving over 36,000 patients into the McLaren fold.
The clinics will become a division of McLaren Medical Group (MMG), retaining their staff, name, and branding.
McLaren Health Care president and CEO Philip Incarnati said: “Park Medical Centers has rightly earned a reputation as a provider of quality family care established over its considerable history.
“While this enhances McLaren’s presence in southeast Michigan, our intention is for Park Medical Centers to continue its distinction as a reliable, community-based provider to those who have for years trusted in their care, expertise, and guidance.”
Park Medical Centers, with a history spanning more than six decades, has served primary care in Metro Detroit.
Park Medical Centers CEO Jeffrey Brown said: “Park Medical Centers has always been dedicated to delivering outstanding, patient-focused care, and this partnership with McLaren Health Care enables us to advance that mission.
“With McLaren’s extensive resources and collaboration, we aim to not only enhance services for our current patients but also expand our reach by welcoming more medical providers to our team and integrating additional family medicine and internal medicine practices. Our goal is to enable more patients to experience our exceptional quality of care.”
The integration into McLaren's network is expected to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
McLaren plans to evaluate the needs of the clinics and integrate its services to better serve patients.
The McLaren system, known for its evidence-based patient care and cost efficiency, includes 13 hospitals in Michigan, imaging centres, ambulatory surgery centres and a primary and speciality care physician network.
