US-based mental health non-profit agency Mental Health Cooperative (MHC) has adopted the eClinicalWorks behavioural health module to improve its practice efficiency, staff satisfaction and patient care.
eClinicalWorks has introduced its 24-hour behavioural health solution for diverse care levels, including residential, detox and intensive outpatient programme (IOP) services, to MHC's 67-provider and 41-bed network.
MHC Clinical Systems senior manager Megan Isham said: “The eClinicalWorks 24-hour behavioural health care solution has completely changed our lives; it has made our workflows so much easier and helps our providers deliver a full circle of care.
“It easily integrates with our systems, supporting interoperability, documentation, and improving staff satisfaction, which helps to improve patient outcomes.”
eClinicalWorks brings several advancements to patient-centric care, including customisable progress notes for different care settings, safety and treatment plans with preset options, and episodic clinical documentation and inpatient billing.
It includes dedicated intake notes to streamline triage and provider workflows, structured screenings with standardised messages, and a bed management feature for tracking and monitoring patient accommodations.
As patients approach discharge, the system assists in creating safety and treatment plans to enable a seamless transition from care.
Through the use of the eMar electronic medicines management system, eClinicalWorks enables healthcare providers to administer medication treatments.
The outpatient behavioural health module is fully integrated and offers features such as time-stamped DAP notes, third-party screening forms, and tools for tracking treatment tasks.
It also facilitates care plan reviews, patient and team signoffs, as well as managing both individual and group visits.
The eClinicalWorks solution records patients’ behavioural health history, lifestyle, daily activities and support systems to help clinicians manage their overall health and wellness.
Based in Tennessee, Mental Health Cooperative provides round-the-clock inpatient and outpatient behavioural health services for various age groups.
Its approach involves small, multidisciplinary teams that concentrate on individual client needs.
