The Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care centre in Des Peres, Missouri, US has reopened its doors with enhanced services, marking the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This facility at 13275 Manchester Road had been temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic but is now back to provide convenient on-demand care to local residents.
The Des Peres centre is equipped to treat patients from the age of six months and above for a variety of non-life-threatening health issues such as upper respiratory infections, minor cuts, ear infections, fractures, sprains, and strains.
In addition to these services, the centre also offers on-site X-rays, diagnostic testing, flu vaccines, lab draws, and sports physicals for children.
Patients seeking medical attention at Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care can do so without the need for an appointment, although pre-registration is available online to save a spot.
The centre operates from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on weekends.
Mercy-GoHealth medical director Dr Jaime Zengotita said: “We’re looking forward to reconnecting with our neighbours in Des Peres.
“Reopening this centre gives folks in and around Des Peres quick and easy access to care that is connected to Mercy’s expansive services. We are thrilled to continue caring for this wonderful community.”
In 2018, Mercy Health and GoHealth Urgent Care established a partnership to create a network of co-branded urgent care centres.
Mercy is one of the largest US health systems and includes over 50 acute care and specialty hospitals, along with a range of convenient care locations, imaging centres, and pharmacies.
A consumer-centric platform for on-demand care, GoHealth Urgent Care provides patients with quality services both virtually and in-person.
With over 170 on-demand care centres across various US regions, GoHealth Urgent Care is a part of TPG Growth's portfolio, which manages assets exceeding $103bn.
Mercy-GoHealth regional president Sarah Coy said: “We have seen demand for convenient and affordable health care options increase in Des Peres, as residents were traveling outside their immediate community to our other locations.
“We worked tirelessly to reopen this centre to provide neighbours with a seamless experience and timely care and are excited to reopen our doors to the Des Peres community.”
