The National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore has launched the Global Fellows Alliance to connect clinicians across the globe.

The Global Fellows Alliance initiative aims to foster global healthcare collaboration.

It will offer networking opportunities, professional development, and access to medical resources.

As part of this initiative, clinicians can engage with one another and partner on new healthcare solutions.

NUH has been training approximately 50 clinical fellows annually across specialities, such as hand and reconstructive microsurgery, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, organ transplantation, obstetrics and gynaecology, and neurology.

More than 900 clinicians from various countries have been trained at NUH since 2000, and over 50 of them gathered for the official launch of the alliance.

NUH Medical Board chairman Quek Swee Chye said: “Healthcare knows no borders and the Global Fellows Alliance is a testament to our shared commitment to strengthening healthcare excellence on a global scale.

“Together, we want to exchange knowledge, foster innovation, and ultimately transform healthcare for the better, not only in our local community, but around the world.

“Our aspiration is that the clinicians who join us from around the world will return to their communities with newfound expertise, passion, and the desire to make a real impact on healthcare.”

NUH serves as a centre for research and teaching to shape healthcare for the community.
