US-based oncology practices network OneOncology has chosen digital health company Smirta’s OncoSmart oncology infusion schedule optimisation platform.

A data-driven platform aiding digital transformation, OncoSmart was developed by Smirta, in collaboration with Tennessee Oncology.

OncoSmart is claimed to ease the complexities of cancer clinic operations, optimise resources, and boost capacity.

As the platform comes with clinic management, optimisation, nurse assignment, business intelligence, and resource management modules, it helps infusion centres to manage their important clinical resources in a better fashion and provide the best in cancer care. 

The artificial intelligence-generated solutions offered by the OncoSmart platform are claimed to support a varied group of clinics with differing sizes and volumes, besides optimising different service types such as lab, treatment, and injections.

OncoSmart products are claimed to cut down patient appointment delays and wait times, help unlock infusion chair capacity, lower infusion treatments that go beyond operating hours and overtime costs, and generate a more balanced nurse load via schedule optimisation.

Smitra has also already worked with Tennessee Oncology and Piedmont Cancer Institute, both of whom are partner practices of OneOncology.
