Opmed.ai, a provider of AI-powered healthcare solutions, has announced the initial success of its AI-powered platform implementation at Geisinger, a health services organisation.
Geisinger, with a presence across multiple locations in Pennsylvania, is leveraging the platform to refine operating room (OR) management and bolster data-driven decision-making across its ten hospital campuses.
Opmed.ai's solution employs AI and network science to scrutinise and refine billions of logistical data points.
This process transforms disjointed schedules into efficient workflows, facilitating an increase in clinical procedures, enhancing patient care, and boosting revenue.
The platform's predictive capabilities allow it to forecast case durations, identify scheduling gaps, and implement minor adjustments that prevent delays and open up capacity for more procedures.
Opmed.ai CEO Mor Brokman said: "We're excited to work with Geisinger, a forward-thinking health system that shares our vision for revolutionising healthcare.
"This collaboration allows us to address Geisinger's growing surgical demands and showcase the power of our optimisation engine in complex, multi-site health care environments."
The AI-driven system from Opmed.ai streamlines patient flow and adjusts scheduling blocks across various sites, effectively reducing backlogs and enhancing resource utilisation.
By using AI models and historical data, the platform also optimises staff scheduling by anticipating demand, minimising downtime, and ensuring optimal staff allocation in a fraction of the time previously required.
Geisinger surgical and medical services chief administrative officer Jeffrey Adams said: "At Geisinger, we're always seeking ways to enhance patient care.
"Opmed.ai's advanced platform aligns with our mission to make health care more accessible and efficient. We're already seeing first results and are confident this technology will help us maximise our OR capacity and accelerate patient care."
The partnership between Opmed.ai and Geisinger is set to contribute to further advancements in AI-powered healthcare solutions.
