Panoramic Health, in partnership with Florida Kidney Physicians (FKP), has opened a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Tampa, Florida, US.
The 10,000ft2 facility comprises five operating rooms and represents a significant step in Panoramic Health's commitment to patient-centred care delivery.
This strategic expansion forms part of the company's focus on improving care through services delivered by nephrologists.
Panoramic Health chief growth officer Nicholas Carlucci said: “The launch of the FKP Tampa Surgery Center marks another successful joint venture developed in partnership with Panoramic-affiliated practices.
“By integrating surgical and interventional care teams within FKP's practice footprint, the center will enhance the delivery of outpatient care and improve the overall patient and provider experience.”
Said to be the first in Florida for Panoramic Health, the Tampa ASC joins the existing outpatient surgery centres in Arizona and Texas.
The partnership with FKP aims to extend integrated outpatient care across the state, enhancing services for the 92,000 patients under FKP's care.
Patients at the new Tampa ASC can expect several benefits, including quicker scheduling for procedures, and reduced risk of infection compared to hospital settings.
The centre also aims to minimise missed dialysis treatments for patients. Economically, the shift of outpatient procedures to the ASC is projected to save the healthcare system an average of 70% per procedure relative to hospital costs.
Located at 514 Eichenfeld Drive in Brandon, the new Ambulatory Surgery Center offers advanced vascular treatments in an accessible outpatient setting.
