US-based Peak Gastroenterology Associates has opened a new facility in Lone Tree, Colorado, marking its latest flagship practice in the Denver metro area.

The general office and clinic opened to patients from 16 November while the connected endoscopy centre is scheduled to launch in late December.

This facility is claimed to prioritise patient comfort and access, offering a clinic for general gastrointestinal conditions and specialised clinical procedures.

The Lone Tree location features three of the latest endoscopy suites for outpatient procedures.

Going forward, Peak aims to further expand its capabilities in the region.

Peak general gastroenterologist Dr. Carlene Chun said: “With the opening of Lone Tree, we are furthering Peak’s mission to deliver quality, comprehensive GI care to the greatest number of Coloradans.

“Establishing a presence here will make a significant impact on the community by increasing access to advanced care closer to home.”

Based in Colorado Springs and Denver, Peak Gastroenterology Associates offers patient-centric gastroenterology and digestive services across its network.

It is said to be the largest gastroenterology practice in Southern Colorado.

As a preferred partner of Gastro Care Partners, Peak provides advanced gastroenterology services, along with ancillary patient services such as anaesthesia, clinical research, and pathology.

Gastro Care Partners supports gastroenterology practices by offering a full spectrum of services and resources.

Last month, Dr. Karin B. Cesario, a board-certified gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist with over 15 years of experience, joined Peak.

Dr. Cesario brings expertise in outpatient and inpatient endoscopy care, general and transplant hepatology, and clinical research.

She will work as a regional liver expert for both existing and new patients at Peak.

Is it time for the healthcare sector to fully embrace the benefits of digitalization and AI?

Only a handful of approved therapeutic drugs are currently available for the treatment of ARF, all belonging to the solute carrier family 12 member 1 inhibitor. The clinical trial space in ARF consists of almost an equal mix of commercial as well as academic sponsors, with Iran and the US emerging as the key countries for conducting Phase III trials. While the current marketed drug space for ARF has only a handful of treatment options, currently available mid-to-late-stage pipeline drugs are likely to pave the way for a new treatment approach in the future.
