US-based health system Premier Health and The Christ Hospital Health Network have formed a partnership, which is aimed at expanding local access to specialised cardiovascular care.
Starting 1 July 2023, the collaboration will bring together experts from both organisations to provide specialised treatments for complex cardiovascular diseases.
The Christ Hospital Health Network president and CEO Debbie Hayes said: “This partnership exemplifies the mission of both organisations to improve the health of the communities that we serve.
“We are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with Premier Health, enabling both organisations to explore creative ways to bring valuable and scarce resources to the patients and families that we serve in a fiscally responsible manner.
“The combined efforts of expert heart and vascular clinicians from both teams will strengthen the cardiovascular capabilities offered in these neighbourhoods and ensure convenient access to leading-edge technology and comprehensive treatment plans.”
The partnership aims to create a seamless experience for clinicians, patients, and their families throughout the continuum of care.
By leveraging existing facilities, the collaboration also seeks to enhance the availability of heart and vascular services, without the need for additional construction, thereby utilising healthcare resources responsibly.
Premier Health president and CEO Michael C Riordan said: “This collaboration lays the foundation for what we anticipate will be a long-term, world-class combined heart and vascular programme that gives residents of Southwest Ohio confidence that they can get the best heart care closer to home.”
