Marshall Health Network in the US has entered a new digital health collaboration with Primefocus Health to offer a patient-centric service solution.
This partnership aims to provide a solution to meet the key regional healthcare issues.
The solution will address key areas such as improving healthcare access and delivery in rural regions.
It also aims to increase access to evidence-based treatments and support for substance use disorders, focusing on opioid addiction along with recovery resources.
Other focus areas include combating obesity using technology to provide physical activity programmes, nutrition education, and behavioural health support, and support healthy ageing with technology-driven preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness programmes tailored for older adults.
Primefocus Health was established earlier this year in partnership with LG NOVA, LG Electronics North America, and is designed to enhance the delivery of personalised and comprehensive healthcare, with a particular focus on benefiting underserved rural areas.
Following the latest collaboration, the Primefocus Health platform will assist Marshall Health Network in serving nearly 1.4 million residents throughout 40 counties in West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southern Ohio regions.
This healthcare solution, which is said to be provider-focused, will leverage advanced, non-invasive technology and remote monitoring tools to track patient progress across various medical conditions and deliver treatments directly to patients within their homes.
By utilising an app-based patient portal, the system enables healthcare providers to manage outcomes efficiently and offer support, communication, guidance, and interventions online, ensuring enhanced care.
Primefocus Health will initiate its partnership with Marshall Health Network next month.
This will further help in progressing the development over the next year, followed by a patient rollout scheduled to take place by next year.
Primefocus Health CEO Darren Sabo said: “We’re on the path to transform healthcare by giving people greater access to personalised care, empowering them to take an active role in improving their health.
“Working with Marshall Health Network enables us to be front and centre in tackling key healthcare issues of West Virginia and rural Appalachia as we build out solutions to best fit and serve people’s needs and get them access to care that will help them live healthier and better lives.”
