Qatar Charity and Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation to support paediatric cancer care

The agreement is set to open avenues for collaboration in humanitarian and development initiatives.

Non-governmental organisation Qatar Charity and the Children's Cancer Hospital Foundation in Egypt, have signed a framework cooperation agreement to support healthcare for children with cancer in the Middle East.

This initiative underscores Qatar Charity's commitment to supporting health and development programmes and providing essential humanitarian assistance to improve healthcare and effective treatment opportunities for children.

The agreement is set to open avenues for collaboration in humanitarian and development initiatives between the two parties.

The agreement was signed by Qatar Charity chief global officer Nawaf Abdullah Al Hammadi and Children’s Cancer Hospital Group deputy executive director Sherif Hussin.

Nawaf Abdullah Al Hammadi said: "This agreement marks our first collaboration in the health sector in Egypt. We are committed to making this partnership fruitful by delivering effective services to children and contributing to higher recovery rates and reduced mortality among cancer patients in the near future."

Nawaf Abdullah Al Hammadi has stated this partnership would be for the long term and will include numerous ways of knowledge exchange, capacity building, and funding.

He emphasised the potential for shared experiences and expertise to support healthcare activities and centres in the region.

Sherif Hussin said: "With this new partnership with Qatar Charity, we look forward to expanding our medical services and reaching a greater number of children, which will help improve recovery rates and achieve more positive outcomes."

Hussin added that this collaboration would mark the beginning of a series of joint achievements.
