Radiometer and Etiometry to enhance clinical decision-making in hospitals

The integration will enable clinicians in the high acuity settings to access comprehensive patient data on a single screen.

Radiometer has entered into a commercial partnership with Etiometry to empower physicians by optimising clinical workflows and enhancing decision-making processes in hospitals.

The partnership will merge the Etiometry platform with acute care diagnostic solutions of Radiometer.

This integration will enable clinicians in high acuity settings to access comprehensive patient data, including blood gas results and AI-based patient risk analytics, on one screen.

Other physiologic parameters and key clinical data can also be tracked on the screen.

By consolidating various physiological parameters and key clinical information, the platform will facilitate a more timely and accurate understanding of patient conditions.

This, in turn, is expected to lead to better-informed care escalation and de-escalation decisions, ultimately improving patient outcomes and hospital economics.

The latest partnership builds on a prior project signed in June 2022 to boost the clinical workflows in neonatal intensive care units (NICU).

The new deal expanded the approach to all ICUs in adult and paediatric critical care settings.

Etiometry president and CEO Shane Cooke said: “Etiometry’s clinical intelligence platform paired with Radiometer’s acute care diagnostics solutions empower clinicians in critical care settings to gain important clinical insights and to have a complete longitudinal view of their patients.

“This includes key clinical information from the EHR, and AI-based analytics on one screen. In the context of clinical workflows, it will improve patient care decisions and reduce length of stay.”

In October last year, Etiometry entered into a deal with Partners Cooperative, an organisation including 37 members and more than 130 acute care hospitals and clinics in the US.

This partnership was intended to streamline the integration of artificial intelligence-driven clinical intelligence for healthcare teams operating in high-acuity care settings within member healthcare facilities.
