Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE has announced plans to launch its new ‘Reem Diabetes & Endocrinology Center’, a facility dedicated to providing comprehensive services, Zawya reported.

The introduction of the new centre is a significant development for Reem Hospital, as it expands its array of specialty services to now include more than 35 different disciplines.

It will provide a broad spectrum of services, such as advanced diagnostics, tailored treatment plans, and ongoing patient monitoring with wearable technology for diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

Reem Hospital CEO Clancey Po said: “We remain steadfast in our commitment to combating Type 2 diabetes by promoting preventive solutions through a comprehensive community outreach programme.

“This includes workshops, health screenings, and educational initiatives for schools and organisations, all aimed at encouraging an active lifestyle and healthy eating habits.”

Utilising the latest technological advancements and evidence-based medical practices, the centre plans to establish a benchmark in diabetes and endocrinology care.

Dr Mohammed Al Khatib, a renowned endocrinologist in Abu Dhabi, will lead the centre, working in conjunction with consultant endocrinologist and thyroidologist Dr Aly Khalil and specialist endocrinologist Dr Wehbi Omar Enzawi.
