Ramaiah Memorial Hospital (RMH) has entered a long-term collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System, based in New York, US, to enhance speciality care services in India.
This partnership is set to advance clinical excellence, quality of care, innovation, research, and technology in various medical fields.
RMH and Mount Sinai’s agreement further marks a significant step towards improving healthcare services.
It will enable Mount Sinai to support RMH in developing clinical competencies along with centres of excellence in specialities that include cardiology, oncology, urology-nephrology, and neurosciences.
A critical aspect of the collaboration is the periodic review of complex clinical cases, Mount Sinai noted.
This joint effort will involve various clinical experts from both institutions, aiming to determine the most effective treatment options for patients.
Commenting on the partnership, RMH president Dr SC Nagendra Swamy said: “With our strategic collaboration with Mount Sinai Hospital New York, our offerings as a leading healthcare provider in the region will be compounded manifolds and will open doors for providing patient care, safety and quality excellence along with possible medical research for our clinicians, as well as to learn and acquire the latest clinical exposures from the best minds at Mount Sinai via virtual webinars, workshops, and on-site case reviews / discussions as part of the collaboration initiative.”
RMH is a multi-super-specialty quaternary care hospital with more than 500 beds.
It has various medical technologies, modular operation theatres, advanced ICUs and comprehensive medical services across more than 30 specialities.
The hospital's capabilities are internationally recognised, particularly in oncosciences, organ transplantation, cardiology, neurology, and gastroenterology.
In addition to conventional medical services, RMH provides alternative therapies through the Ramaiah Indic Specialty Ayurveda Restoration Hospital (RISA).
Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens president Dr David Reich said: “In the coming years of our collaboration, it will be my honour to facilitate Ramaiah’s access to Mount Sinai’s clinical and management expertise and best practices, and I look forward to our continuously-evolving mutual engagement.”
