Construction company Robins & Morton and US-based healthcare provider AdventHealth have opened a new, four-storey hospital in Palm Coast, Flagler County, Florida.
AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway Hospital includes five operating suites, an emergency department, and an outpatient lab.
The 153,000ft2 hospital also boasts 100 private rooms, full-service imaging, endoscopy services, and a heart catheterisation lab.
This is Flagler County’s largest healthcare investment. The new hospital will augment the only other hospital, AdventHealth Palm Coast, in the county.
Through this investment, the county aims to improve access to acute care for the community, which grew over 29% since 2010 census.
AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway president and CEO Wally De Aquino said: “Construction began in September 2021, but the planning and preparation were years in the making.
“Flagler County – and Palm Coast in particular – has experienced significant growth in recent years, and to help keep our community healthy, it is important that our healthcare infrastructure continues to expand and grow, too.”
Robins & Morton worked as the construction manager for the new hospital, while HuntonBrady served as the architect.
Robins & Morton operations manager Angel Colon said: “We are excited to complete this project that will provide additional healthcare options for the Flagler and St. Johns County communities,”
“We’re grateful to our long-time partner AdventHealth for the opportunity to deliver this exceptional facility that will leave a lasting impact for residents.”
