Rocky Mountain Women’s Clinic in Idaho Falls, Idaho, has begun using artificial intelligence (AI) tools from eClinicalWorks in an effort to improve its clinical documentation process.

The clinic's use of Sunoh.ai, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered medical scribe, is intended to streamline day-to-day operations and increase efficiency within the clinic's workflow.

Sunoh.ai is integrated with eClinicalWorks, an ambulatory Cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) system, and is easily accessible to all eClinicalWorks users.

The medical AI scribe converts natural conversations into clinical documentation, with the aim to offer an immersive and efficient experience for both doctors and patients.

Sunoh.ai vice-president Saurabh Singh said: “Sunoh.ai is transforming patient visits, with practitioners saving two hours daily on clinical documentation.

“The cutting-edge technology is specifically designed to turn natural patient-doctor conversations into structured clinical documentation, saving time and helping reduce burnout.

“With its ability to transcribe real-time conversations, it is converting office consultations into intuitive, immersive experiences.”

Rocky Mountain Women's Clinic was established in 2020 and provides a wide range of women's health and medical aesthetic services.

The clinic selected Sunoh.ai to help address time management challenges that staff had been facing due to heavy workflows.

Rocky Mountain Women’s Clinic nurse practitioner and owner Kylee Johnson said: “The integration of Sunoh.ai within our choice of EHR is a great advantage.

“Since its implementation, Sunoh.ai helped us save at least two hours a day on clinical documentation.

“The reliability and cost-effectiveness compared to a traditional medical scribe, and its ability to provide detailed and fail-proof documentation, have truly impressed us.

“It allows for a more intimate visit where patients can freely express their concerns, improving the patient experience.”

Last month, Brownfield Regional Medical Center in Brownfield, Texas, began using Sunoh.ai in an effort to expedite its medical documentation.

The solution is reported to have made documentation processes for the centre's healthcare providers around 40% faster.
