Salvo Health has entered a strategic collaboration with gastroenterology practice Pinnacle GI Partners for expanding 'wraparound' patient care in the Lansing and Detroit areas in the US.

This deal aims to integrate virtual care services into the traditional healthcare model, providing patients with access to a broad spectrum of support between in-person appointments.

The partnership leverages Salvo Health's technology to enable local physicians at Pinnacle GI Partners to offer a more comprehensive care experience for patients with chronic conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), obesity or metabolic liver disorders.

Under Salvo Health’s hybrid offering, patients will benefit from a coordinated care team, including access to nurses, dietitians, and other specialists, all supervised by their Pinnacle physician.

Furthermore, patients will have access to a mobile app, which allows them to track their tailored care plan and communicate with their dedicated care team seven days a week.

The offering is designed to support patients over the months required to manage chronic conditions effectively.

This multidisciplinary approach includes support for nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep improvement, and microbiome rebalancing. This holistic care ensures that patients receive continuous support in managing their health.

With the Salvo Health platform, patients can monitor their progress and access various tailored resources and recommendations, aiding them in taking an active role in their healthcare journey.

Pinnacle GI CEO Tom Dudley said: “We are pleased to bring this option to Pinnacle patients.”

“Recognising the shortage of gastroenterology physicians in the US and the increasing time constraints they face in meeting a surge in demand, this partnership with Salvo will give extra care staff and capabilities to extend our GI’s ability to deliver the best in patient care.”
