US-based concierge urgent and emergency care provider Sollis Health has appointed Jia Jia Ye as its new chief operating officer (COO).

Ye takes on the new role immediately, focusing on ensuring clinical quality and member experience as the company expands nationally.

She will manage operations across Sollis Health's national network of centres, reporting directly to CEO Brad Olson.

Earlier, Ye had stints at Oscar Health Insurance as VP of Service Experience and One Medical Group as Director of Operations.

Olson said: “Jia Jia's extensive experience in healthcare operations, particularly her achievements in scaling multi-site operations and enhancing customer experience, positions her exceptionally well to lead our team.

“I am confident that with Jia Jia's expertise, Sollis Health will continue delivering the highest quality of care and capability.”

Ye started her career in healthcare investment banking as well as venture capital.

Latterly, she was the CEO of Springtide Child Development, where she is said to have pioneered evidence-based autism care.

She holds an MBA and MPH from UC Berkeley along with a BA in Economics from Harvard College.

Besides, she offers advice and invests in early-stage healthcare companies.

Ye said: “I'm thrilled to join Sollis Health and help expand our reach, bringing top-tier clinical care and an exceptional member experience to more people.

“I'm passionate about creating experiences that delight customers, and I'm committed to establishing Sollis as a trusted partner in health journeys across the nation.”

Sollis Health offers a membership that provides unlimited access to ER-trained physicians and specialists, advanced onsite imaging, and diagnostic services.

It has centres in New York, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and South Florida.

Healthcare industry continues to be highly vulnerable to cyberattacks

Cybersecurity is a growing market in the medical devices sector for several reasons. Medical devices often collect and contain vulnerable data, such as patient medical information. Legacy medical devices are a cause for concern because they likely were not designed with cyberattacks in mind. With the adoption of EHR systems, telemedicine measures, mobile health apps, and other connected devices, there is increased vulnerability to cyberattacks.
