US-based healthcare technology company Stellar Health has announced an expansion of its collaboration with UNC Health Alliance to improve health outcomes in Arkansas.
The company's cloud-based point-of-care platform makes use of historical patient information to guide primary care providers and their teams with healthy action recommendations as part of their everyday workflow.
The company will work with UNC Health Alliance to introduce real-time incentives linked to the completion of these healthy actions, thereby rewarding providers for their efforts in delivering care to patients.
In 2022, UNC Health Alliance partnered with Stellar to expedite new payment and care delivery models for ten of its independent practices in North Carolina.
Following continuous success during the pilot period, UNC Health Alliance is now expanding the use of the company's platform to its complete independent provider network.
UNC Health Alliance business development and performance management vice-president Ray Coppedge said: “The expansion of Stellar to hundreds of independent primary care practices across the UNC Health Alliance network is a game-changer.
“By leveraging Stellar Health's solution, we have the exciting potential to bring new products and opportunities to our independent practices.
“This expansion opens doors for new partnerships with payers, allowing us to achieve a higher level of success in healthy-based care.”
Stellar Health vice-president Zack Caplan said: “Stellar and UNC Health Alliance share in the mission to simplify the delivery of value-based care.
“Primary Care Providers are bombarded these days with contract options from multiple competing networks.
“Stellar and UNC Health Alliance's combined offering creates a uniquely simple option that transparently and fairly rewards providers and care teams for delivering excellent patient care.”
UNC Health Alliance is a physician-led clinically integrated network and population health services subsidiary of UNC Health.
The group has 13 hospitals and operates in 1,120 locations across 52 counties in North Carolina.
