Tenet Healthcare adopts Commure’s AI platform to improve patient care

The AI platform automates tasks such as data collection, documentation, and care delivery.

Tenet Healthcare has selected the Commure Scribe AI platform for its Tenet Physician Resources, a nationwide network of employed medical and surgical specialty physicians.

The Commure Scribe will be integrated into Tenet Physician Resources and automates tasks such as data collection, documentation, and care delivery, thereby improving the patient experience by reducing the administrative load on healthcare providers.

Tenet Physician Resources CEO Philipp Ludwig said: “We chose Commure given their provider- and patient-centric approach to innovation.

“We are excited to launch Commure’s AI platform across our national network to continue to enhance the positive experience for our patients, providers and care team.”

Commure, a company in healthcare technology innovation, encompasses many physicians across 60 of the IDNs (Integrated Delivery Networks) in the country will now extend its reach to Tenet Physician Resources.

The adoption of Commure's AI solutions will allow these healthcare providers to focus more on patient care, as the technology is designed to integrate clinical workflows.

Commure CEO Tanay Tandon said: “We are building the future of healthcare AI. This platform goes beyond simple automation. It is designed to enhance clinical workflows in ways that allow healthcare providers to focus more on what matters most — caring for patients.”

In financial developments concerning Tenet Healthcare, the firm has formalised a $910m agreement to divest its 70% stake in Brookwood Baptist Health to Orlando Health in August 2024.

Furthermore, in July 2024, Tenet Healthcare reported an increase in net income available to common shareholders, with figures reaching $259m in the second quarter of 2024.

This represents a 110.5% increase from the $123m reported in the same period the previous year.

While net operating revenues saw a slight increase from $5.08bn in the second quarter of 2023 to $5.10bn in 2024, they experienced a decrease from the $5.36bn reported in the first quarter.
