Queensland Health has awarded a statewide contract to The Clinician, a digital health company, to implement the ZEDOC platform across all hospitals and health services.

The platform aims to improve the collection and analysis of patient-reported measures (PRMs) and patient safety culture (PSC) staff surveys, enhancing healthcare delivery and patient safety.

The Clinician CEO and principal founder Dr Ron Tenenbaum said: "It's a significant opportunity to collaborate with Queensland Health on this transformative project.

"Our goal is to equip healthcare providers with the tools and insights necessary to enhance patient experiences, outcomes, and safety. By utilising real-time data from both patients and staff, Queensland Health will be empowered to make informed, data-driven decisions to elevate the quality of care across the state."

Key features of the ZEDOC system include collecting patient-reported experience measures (PREMs) to gain insights into Queensland Health services.

The system gathers patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in real-time, supporting shared decision-making and empowering patients in their healthcare.

Collecting and reporting real-time staff feedback on patient safety culture is also a critical aspect of the off-the-shelf (OTS) ZEDOC system. This enables the implementation of interventions in hospitals and health services.

The integrated platform simplifies access for parents, patients and carers and provides a comprehensive reporting tool to healthcare staff.

It also includes automated patient communication, contacting patients through SMS or email during or after their engagement with a health service.

This contract marks a significant milestone for The Clinician as the company expands its presence in Australia and internationally.
