US-based mobile health technology company UTMHealthcare has unveiled an upgraded version of its remote patient monitoring (RPM) solution.
This enhancement enables seamless integration with electronic health record (EHR) systems, facilitating secure data sharing across clinical settings.
Upgraded in partnership with Innovar Healthcare, UTMHealthcare ensured compatibility with major EHR brands used by hospitals and health systems, the health tech firm stated.
Clinicians can now access patient health data from the RPM within their EHR system, streamlining their workflow as well as saving time.
UTMHealthcare's RPM is employed by healthcare professionals to remotely monitor patients with chronic conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and pneumonia.
Patients use biometric devices to record vital signs at home, transmitting the data to the RPM system via a mobile app or wireless network for assessment by their healthcare team.
UTMHealthcare co-founder Seth Lachterman said: “We are pleased to announce this latest advance in our RPM solution as it becomes more comprehensive, scalable, and adaptable to electronic health record databases, the backbone of any hospital or physician practice enterprise.
“Physicians using UTMHealthcare’s RPM system will have easier and faster access to patient data, which will improve health outcomes and lower costs.”
UTMHealthcare is a subsidiary of YouThisMe, offering a HIPAA-compliant remote patient monitoring system.
