US-based non-profit healthcare group West Tennessee Healthcare has expanded its partnership with Xsolis for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) collaboration tools.
The partners aim to optimise medical necessity case reviews and reduce patient length of stay.
According to Xsolis, West Tennessee Healthcare has realised savings of $5.1m since the start of the partnership.
West Tennessee Healthcare began using Xsolis’ AI platform in July 2022 and has since adopted more of the company's AI solutions.
These solutions include Dragonfly Navigate, which is designed to help indicate discharge readiness and improve patient throughput.
The healthcare group has also integrated payer connections and automation solutions to enhance coordination with its health plan partners.
In addition, it has engaged Xsolis' Best in KLAS Physician Advisory Services, which aim to minimise avoidable denials.
West Tennessee Healthcare CEO James Ross said: “In today's challenging financial environment for hospitals, we've leveraged Xsolis' AI-driven technology to provide relief where it's most needed – removing unnecessary administrative burden for our staff while ensuring appropriate reimbursement for patient care.
“Xsolis' leadership as an AI technology company in healthcare and their consultative services have been a powerful combination. They help us identify and course-correct some of today's most complex operational challenges in healthcare.”
In addition to these solutions, West Tennessee Healthcare's case management, utilisation review and physician advisor teams have been using Xsolis AI capabilities such as the Care Level Score platform.
These tools are intended to save time, reduce administrative workloads and expedite medical necessity alignment, both internally and with health plan partners.
West Tennessee Healthcare care management executive director Debbie Ashworth said: “My team's improved communication with payers has been transformative to the payer-provider dynamic, enabling true collaboration where it didn't exist before.
“Xsolis has helped us standardise processes, eliminate variability, and increase confidence that we're arriving at the best decisions for patient care more quickly and accurately.”
