Zamil AC wins $202m hospital contract in Jeddah

The contract was awarded by Al Muhammadiyah Hospital for Healthcare Company.

Zamil Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Services Company (Zamil AC), a Saudi company, has secured a contract worth $202m to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services for a 350-bed hospital project in Jeddah.

The contract was awarded by Al Muhammadiyah Hospital for Healthcare Company, a unit of Saudi Arabia-based Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group.

Known as Al Muhammadiyah Hospital, the hospital will cover an area of 24,000m² and feature medical equipment, 270 clinics, and a medical team led by specialists and consultants.

The new facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2024.

Headquartered in Dammam, Zamil AC is a subsidiary of Zamil Industrial Investment Company, which specialises in design and engineering solutions for the construction industry.

According to BNC Network, the project encompasses specialised facilities, including dedicated centres for adult and paediatric cardiac medicine and surgery, infertility treatment and assisted reproduction centres.

Other facilities include a comprehensive centre for addressing obesity through surgical and non-surgical approaches, a dialysis centre, specialised units for treating paediatric and adult patients, as well as a centre focused on kidney transplantation.
