Europe was the fastest growing region for robotics hiring among healthcare industry companies in the three months ending September.
The number of roles in Europe made up 9.6 per cent of total robotics jobs – up from 4.8 per cent in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by Asia-Pacific, which saw a 1.8 year-on-year percentage point change in robotics roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was the United Kingdom, which saw four per cent of all robotics job adverts in the three months ending June last year, increasing to six per cent in the three months ending September this year.
That was followed by Slovenia (up 1.7 percentage points), India (up 1.7), and Canada (up 1.1).
The top country for robotics roles in the healthcare industry is the United States which saw 84.9 per cent of all roles in the three months ending September.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for robotics workers in the healthcare industry?
Some 13.4 per cent of all healthcare industry robotics roles were advertised in Nashville (United States) in the three months ending September - more than any other city.
That was followed by Austin (United States) with 13.4 per cent, Denver (United States) with seven per cent, and Logan (United States) with 5.8 per cent.
