Tenet Healthcare, a US-based hospital company, had experienced cybersecurity incident last week that caused disruption to some of its acute-care operations.
In a statement, Tenet said that important functions have mostly been restored and facilities that were impacted have commenced normal operations.

However, the company did not reveal the nature of the cybersecurity incident or if patient data has been breached, reported BloombergQuint.
Tenet stated that it suspended access to the impacted programmes and has initiated a probe besides taking other necessary steps to boost security.
Tenet operates 60 hospitals and 535 other healthcare facilities, including surgical centres.
Among the locations impacted included St. Mary’s Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center in Palm Beach County, reported WPBF.
Tenet Healthcare Corporation stated: “Tenet is grateful to its physicians, nurses and staff for their dedication to safely care for patients as the Company works to resolve this matter.”
Last August, Tenet Healthcare completed the divestment of five hospitals in South Florida and related operations.
The deal closed following the receipt of necessary regulatory approvals.
In June 2021, Tenet Healthcare had signed a definitive agreement to sell the five hospitals located in the Miami-Dade and Southern Broward counties to Steward Health Care System. At the time of announcement, the transaction was valued at around $1.1bn.
